  I'm gonna answer something that requires a bit of social intelligence, but with people 25 and up, if they look about your age, soft-flirt with them. Doesn't matter if they or you are in a relationship, doesn't matter if you don't actually swing that way, people tend to like it. Just throw someone a wink and a smile if your eyes meet in the subway or make them a non-sexual compliment, about their hair for example. Had it happen to me, had it happen to my GF and colleagues, never heard anyone complain. If you do it right all it does is make people feel desirable.
