i think having a family makes you strong because there are many people who put up with a lot of undesirable things or jobs to provide for their children

I guess if you wish to become an assassin or spy it's not the best move from a tactical perspective (unless you are a psychopath and don't care about them), but in any other case I struggle to see how having one would make you weak.
