Is it fun to explore abandoned buildings near where you live?

  Keep in mind kids, even abandoned buildings are someones property, so no matter which country you live in, it's (almost) always illegal to just enter them. If you decide to do so for fun anyway, be wary of a few things: - Don't do it alone. There are a ton of things that can be dangerous in abandoned buildings. Bring a friend along. It's more fun anyway. - Wear proper protective gear so you don't get yourself tetanus or some other nasty infectious disease. - If there is a warning sign, tape or barricades anywhere, be mindful that they are probably there for a reason. Especially the signs. Don't wanna walk into the asbestos room. - Basements: If there is standing water in there chances are that gases have built up that are heavier than air. Be very slow and careful when going down one and if you feel anyway lightheaded or disoriented, immediately go back up. Also bring an intrinsically safe flashlight to not risk igniting any possible gases. - Sealed rooms: Wear proper breathing protection. You never know what kind of dust you might kick up in those - Keep the traces you leave at a minimum. You are not there to vandalize. - If you find a cool place and decide to film it, don't tell anyone where it is. Helps keep all the vandalizing bunch out.

  No. Cops patrol them all the time and can arrest you for trespassing, they're moldy with toxic black mold, collapsing floors, wild animals and druggies making their dens and hideouts in those places, and overall dangerous and absolutely not fun conditions.

  I thought this said “explode abandoned buildings” at first. But no, there’s only on near me and despite the fact it’s a mansion it’s very dilapidated and thus very likely to cave in on top of you and instead be “an abandoned pile of rubble with my rotting corpse hidden underneath” if I were to ever try exploring it.
