  Everywhere I've lived in Vienna has always been newly constructed buildings, so often I'd have tons of construction sites near me for the first few years. Never did this turn out bad though, always ends in more parks and fancy apartment buildings as well as tons of shopping options. You can say a lot about the city, but whoever does the planning here has their shit together. Also, strangely, those construction sites consistently keep drawing insects and other crawlies into my home. Whenever they finish, the amount of stuff flying and skittering about drastically decreases. Always wondered why that is.

  そこには私が昔働いていたおもちゃ屋がありました。今は駐車場になってしまいましたが。1月にはお年玉でお金持ちになった子供が買い物に来ました。12月は本当に忙しかったです。懐かしいな。 There was a toy store there where I used to work part time. It is now a parking lot. In January the kids who got rich on their New Year's gifts came in to shop there, December was really busy. I miss it.
